We spent a couple of nights browsing used car  lots, but she&#8217;d already had her heart set on the Toyota Matrix because  she likes how it looks and it gets really good ratings from <a title=\"Consumer Reports used car report\" href=\"http:\/\/www.consumerreports.org\/cro\/cars\/used-cars\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Consumer  Reports<\/a>.  (She still likes the <a title=\"blog entry on the Honda Fit\" href=\"http:\/\/www.curtisgibby.com\/blog\/2006\/02\/sarahs-going-have-fit\/\">Honda Fit<\/a>, but they&#8217;re all too  new and pricey for us.)<\/p>\n<p>She found a nice 2003 Matrix at a dealer in Bountiful called <a title=\"Affinity Auto\" href=\"http:\/\/www.affinityautosales.com\">Affinity Auto<\/a> for a pretty good price, so we  decided to go for it on Tuesday night, and we did all the paperwork and  picked it up Wednesday.  Sarah&#8217;s happy with the car so far, but on the  first day she was too scared to drive it home on the freeway &#8212; even  though it&#8217;s really her car, she made me do it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sarah finally convinced me to let her get a new car.
