{"id":70,"date":"2009-02-14T17:46:28","date_gmt":"2009-02-14T23:46:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.curtisgibby.com\/blog\/70\/bust-move-bash-way-more-bust-than-bash\/"},"modified":"2010-05-17T21:24:27","modified_gmt":"2010-05-18T03:24:27","slug":"bust-move-bash-way-more-bust-than-bash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.curtisgibby.com\/blog\/2009\/02\/bust-move-bash-way-more-bust-than-bash\/","title":{"rendered":"Bust-A-Move Bash is way more bust than bash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So last night was a ward\/stake Valentine&#8217;s dinner and dance. \u00a0 After a  minor babysitter-related trauma (&#8220;I don&#8217;t like Emily!&#8221; repeated about  500 times), we had fun at an adult dinner party at our neighbors&#8217; house,  then went over to the Stake Center for the dance. \u00a0 They were playing  some really lame songs, and we only lasted about an hour before we  decided to go make our own fun.<\/p>\n<p>While Sarah got the kids to bed, I took the babysitter home and went  to the video store to get a Wii game. Sarah had heard that <a title=\"Wario Land: Shake It!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B001C58T46?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=curtisgibbysf-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B001C58T46\" target=\"_blank\">Wario Land: Shake It!<\/a> was fun, so I picked it up. \u00a0  It wasn&#8217;t until I got home and our friends Brad and Debbie were already  over that we realized that it was only a 1-player game.<\/p>\n<p>While Brad and I amused ourselves with <a title=\"Guitar Hero III\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B001ELJE5G?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=curtisgibbysf-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B001ELJE5G\" target=\"_blank\">Guitar Hero III<\/a>, Sarah and Debbie went back to the  store specifically looking for a 4-player game. \u00a0 They came home with <a title=\"Bust-A-Move Bash!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000KS8J00?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=curtisgibbysf-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B000KS8J00\" target=\"_blank\">Bust-A-Move Bash!<\/a> &#8212; advertised to support up to 8  players.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000KS8J00?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=curtisgibbysf-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B000KS8J00\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/ecx.images-amazon.com\/images\/I\/517TiNJ3cnL._SS100_.jpg\" alt=\"Bust-A-Move Bash!\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>To me, the name  &#8220;Bust-A-Move Bash!&#8221; implies a party atmosphere, but the game was  anything but a party. \u00a0 Instead, it was a tired rehash of a game we had  on our computer 10 years ago, <a title=\"Snood\" href=\"http:\/\/www.snood.com\" target=\"_blank\">Snood<\/a>.
