My Recipes - Peanut Butter Rice Crispy Treats
Description: Uses Karo syrup rather than marshmallows
1 cup Karo syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups Rice Crispies
6 oz. chocolate chips
6 oz. butterscotch chips
On stove over medium heat, combine sugar and Karo syrup. Cook until pulling away from sides, stir often. DO NOT BOIL. Remove from heat, add peanut butter. Pour mixture over Rice Crispies and stir until completely covered. Pour into 9 by 13 pan (smaller if you want them thicker). Spread out and flatten.
For Topping (optional): Mix chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in small pan on low heat. Melt, stirring often. Pour and spread over Rice Crispies.
Let sit in fridge till hardened.
